I love the Internet. So this morning I posted this to my blog -- a record cover. An hour later, I got an email from the artist who created the cover. He told me he was 19 when he drew the cover illustration, and he has gone on to be a successful and busy artist. He included a link to his Web page, and his work is great. I particularly like this one and this one.

I'm already a fan of Staake's work and my first thought was "HE did THAT? Whoa!" But then, every talented artist goes through a Mad Magazine phase sometime between the ages of 12 and 21... (and a lot of untalented artists too, they're the ones trying to copy Don Martin)

Bob Staake's stuff is great, and I know I've seen it before...

The video is really neat, and lends tremendous insight into his creative process.
