Dumbass: "It won't let me do this, it won't let me do that. I can't save this, I can't open that."

Me: "Did you change anything?"

Dumbass: "Yes, the permissions on a folder."

Me: "Which folder?"

Dumbass: "Macintosh HD. I changed the permissions to something and then I clicked apply to enclosed items. After that, it started acting funny."

Me: "I hate you."

This is the same guy who put his system folder in the trash and it took me a while to find the problem and fix it. That was easy to fix once I found out what happened. This is going to test me though.

I pushed ctrl-option-apple-8 and left his computer. I told him this was caused by his dicking around with file permissions.

Grrr.
