A couple weeks old, but still shockingly batshitinsane "I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.
That really shows how deluded the guy is; people who are stupid enough to still believe that WAR is a romantic adventure have no business being anywhere near a battlefield, let alone be the one incharge of it. This guy is such a jackass, it's pathetic.

I used to think like this too when I was young, but then I grew up--when are you going to Mr. Bush???

Don't worry--you're still young in the head--go for it!

I really think Vladimir Putin and G.W. Bush would make a perfect couple.

Are there age discrimination laws in the USA? He'll be out of a job soon and will need something to do to keep his tiny, tiny mind occupied. I'm sure the army would take him.

A little romance in the ass.

But perhaps this is more the kind of romance he imagines.

Only a fool or a fraud sentimentalizes the merciless reality of war.

That's some video. Are you sure that footage wasn't captured by Spirit or Opportunity?

'Cause it looks awfully Mars-like there, in more ways than one.

So, when will somebody ask McCain whether he thinks Bush is a fool or a fraud?

That's...priceless.

well, this is what I'm hoping, box. I don't see it happening any time soon.

There's an article in Glamour this month about women in a TX county whose husbands have been killed in the war (Killeen, I believe; it's the county with the highest number of war losses), whose children don't have dads anymore, who are basically left out at sea after military culture abandons them. It's really romantic, I assure you. I read it again last night and cried from all the romance.

It might happen, but the resolution won't be very satisfying.

The only answers that would satisfy me are 'A fool,' 'a fraud' or 'both.' And call me cynical, but I suspect that Mr. Straight Talk already has an answer prepared for him.
