I sympathise.

Not having a good job fit is terrifying because society is setup that you can't survive without it.

And then this makes you feel like you SHOULDN'T survive..

But all of this is Not True.

I just had this discussion with a good friend at a BBQ on Saturday night. She was at a career crossroads as a paralegal because something like 8-10 years in she realised she HATED working with jerks every day.

In a lightning strike of pure good luck, she now works as the logistics coordinator for these characters. Other people told her how stressful and time-consuming it would be, however she reports that working for a bunch of crazy bike racers is way more fulfilling and fun than working for a bunch of asshole lawyers.

Well, have I got a deal for you! We are just about to advertise for three new positions to do this. Now wait, I know what you're going to say - that looks like a really sucky job and who the hell would want to do it because it's way worse than what I do now. But it's not - it's the best job I've ever had in the greatest workplace I've ever worked in with the best bunch of people I've ever worked with. It pays well and there are great career opportunities. If you like MeCha and the friendly vibe here, you'll love this place.
