I've had a great week (possibly due in part to taking calcium.)[More:]Turns out calcium deficiencies make you depressed and anxious.

I discovered I was getting lactose intolerant this winter so stopped living off hot whole milk. (mmm! comfort food!)

A week ago I started taking calcium supplements out of osteoporosis fears. And 2 days later I had the best day I'd had all winter.

And then the next day too!
And the next!
(And then I went skiing so that one doesn't count because I'm rarely miserable while out in the sun skiing.)
But the one after that, too!
And today!

Possibly coincidence- it's also sunny and SPRING!- but for all you depressed bunnies out there... give calcium a try if you haven't.
Maybe it's the Vitamin D too.

Good point, ethylene. I have read that Vitamin D deficiency can cause depression. Or some scientists have found evidence that it can.

I will give it a try. I can always use more calcium. I'm afraid I don't get enough. I used to be the cereal out of the mixing bowl type as a kid and a teenager. I drank a ton of milk. In my adulthood I find that I don't drink as much. I used to be a real yogurt freak too, not so much lately. Hmm.

My grandmother broke a hip a couple days ago from coughing. She's 80 but yeesh. i hope they come up with something for osteoporosis in the next few decades because i will have it.
