Looks like I may be taking flight sometime soon.... A friend of mine in Raleigh, NC has invited me to come visit. Yayy! No definite date yet, but I'm thinking mid-May. I'll call a Raleigh meetup in MeTa once my plans are firmed up. Do any of you Ameribunnies live nearby?

If you call a meetup on the 17th or thereafter, I will fly to Raleigh. The Vegas meetup was so long ago.

I am in Carrboro (about a half hour away), and by mid-May I will be aching for another meetup. We held the last one in Chapel Hill, which kind've spoiled it for Raleigh bunnies, but maybe this time we could compromise and hold it in Durham, which will make Stewriffic happy. Right, Stew?

Midwestern sprawl.
If had a car, i'd being dropping in on people all the time, scaring the crap out of you, knocking on the window.
Part of why i don't have a car is because i would just drive across country, but prices have been on a steady climb ever since i stopped having one, and it's never gotten better.

One of the few truly cool American things is being able to drive long stretches and road trips.
Now it's just pricey shipping of people and things.

How midwestern? I grew up in MI--anywhere I'd consider midwestern will be quite a haul to get down here.
