This is not how I thought this would end. [More:]
I had fully expected the 'breaking news' to be the discovery of a body, which is the usual scenario in these cases.
It's always nice when they end up that way, isn't it?

All the talk of her running away when she first went missing made me think she'd gone off with someone like a family member, so I did think this was a possible outcome. It never had the appearance of a proper stranger kidnap/murder to me.

Yes, usually abducted people are dead within the first 36 hours or so.

I'm glad she's physically okay and hope she's not too traumatized.

The nine-year-old was found "concealed" in the base of a divan bed at the address, the West Yorkshire force said.

Was she hiding from the cops? Did he hide her there? Was she kept in there? I can't stop asking questions can I?

Yep, this was a total surprise - I'd written her off for dead ages ago. What'll be interesting now is, seeing as how the UK is one of the most CCTV-intensive countries on the planet, how they managed to pull something like this off.

Well there's not much pulling it off to be done - If the emergency protection order is anything to go by, the police think the family could all be in on it.

Is that why Toshiko's always looking at CCTV camera footage? I never realized...

Man, it's glad she's found alive. These things do happen, I just wish more missing kids were found alive. Interesting to see how this all pans out - whether or not her mother and step father were involved, or just one of them, or none of them. Poor kid.

This situation is very odd. I'm glad she's okay.
