Christ, what an asshole. [More:]Sorry to muck up a Saturday with politics, but I find this simply dumbfounding.
God, I know. He's a fucking monster.

"Asshole" is not exactly the word I was thinking about when I read this story this morning.

Fucking hell.

I find it very, very sad. What a horrible shame.

It's absolutely awful. I read it this morning and told my husband and we both started laughing. That kind of hollow, bitter laughter that comes with knowing that the person leading your country is a complete, utter, moronic wanker.

I find it unconscionable that Congress can't easily override this veto. It should be a slam dunk.

Waterboarding is torture. I am ashamed to be a citizen of a country where this is legal. It is two thousand fucking eight* and this is even open for debate? Of course evolution and natural selection is also a matter of debate.

* that is how I write the date on my checks.

Sounds like time for everyone to call their congresspeople and demand justice!

Ironic/prescient that the next post is "We are so screwed."

Yeah, I thought maybe it was a double.

I think that he watches *24* way more than he pays attention to the real world. He sees Jack Bauer saving the world by getting crucial info out of terrorists at the last possible moment, via torture, and gets it confused with how the world really operates.

I think that we can have a vigorous defense and make it miserable on people who want to hurt us (the USA) without resorting to torture.

Absolutely. When reporters asked him last week what he thought about the fact that gas was likely to top $4 this summer, he replied that that was the first he'd heard of it. When asked for his solution, he said it was to make his tax cuts permanent.

The words don't exist to adequately describe his idiocy, nor the idiocy of his supporters in the face of the ever-mounting evidence of his total and complete incompetence.

It's unspeakable.

At least the world knows that the next US president (whoever he/she is) will not be a pro-torture incompetent.

Is there nothing that will get through this guy's impenetrably thick head. I am so tired of hearing this guy talk as if he knows what the hell he's talking about. Just go away, you sick, retarded fuck.

It's already fucking illegal, and has been for decades. Does no one remember that basic fact?

So, McCain's definitely not going to win then? Cuz he folded on torture already.

I'm insanely excited about the Wyoming caucus. || We are so screwed.
