Reminded me of a mockingbird that used to hang around the house where I grew up, for years. Nowhere near this elaborate, but it did have things in its call like a very recognizable telephone ring.

And just to keep things even, Wendell.

Technically, Attenborough himself says that the bird is imitating the sound of Park rangers and their chainsaws, which would lead me to believe this footage was taken in a protected forest reserve. Still, it's a little disheartening to know that even in such a reserve the bird has learnt of the sound of a car alarm.

Sometime soon all we'll have left of these miracles of nature is footage on youtube. That's really depressing.

I saw another clip in which someone else associated with the show (not Attenborough) made the "destroying his habitat" comment but used the one with less commentary...
