Notes from a Trade Show [More:]Two notes - to the company selling the robotic book scanner - you didn't bat an eye when I knew the duty cycle of the shutter mechanism on the DSLR you were using in your robot, but honestly, a $1000 camera should really not be considered a 'consumable'.

To the woman in the booth across from me - I can't decide which was more entertaining: seeing your black thong when you were tearing down your booth (and let's be honest, it worked with your physique), or watching your male co-worker staring at it.
*muffled giggles*

Oh trade shows! I miss them. I miss the swag and the faded celebrities hanging out at booths and the crazy attention grabbing gimmicks, like painting a guy silver and having him act like a robot.

I really hope you've got a robo-guy, plinth. They make it all worthwhile.

Should have gotten a picture of the staring at the thong. Now that would have been good.

Pretty much all my participation in trade shows (from the back of the counter) has been overseas, so I miss the complete lack of responsibility once the show is over and the drinking and partying with people I have lots in common with, but whom I only ever see at trade shows (what happens on tour stays on tour etc).

Hahahaha.

Museum trade shows. We don't troll for thongs. We troll for free mini-Hersheys, stress balls, floating key rings, and business card holders.

Which circle of hell is it again?
