Inspired by BtGog, what are your least favorite tracks by your very favorite musical artists? The real clunkers you wish had been left on the sound booth floor?
"Stairway to Heaven," by the Zep. It's so after-school-special, not to mention over-played. Having said that, I like the bridge on that song a whole lot (when they start rocking out again).
all the REM albums after Bill Berry left the band, except for their new one, due in April, which is vintage REM pop and will rock the fillin's out you mouf.
Oh...the "Elegy for Gump Worsley", from The Weakerthans latest, drives me batty. I think it's the only song of theirs, from the last 4 records, that I skip.
"Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict" by Pink Floyd. It's just stupid and I hate it. I can get most of their early stuff to some extent, although I prefer the Waters/Gilmour material, but this one I just can't stomach.
Steve Earle is the best artist in Country music today despite tending to have at least one clinker per album, and I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that.
The long wheezy harmonica track on Washington Square Serenade comes to mind.

Crowded House had some clunkers on Together Alone: "Chocolate Cake" and "I'm Still Here" (the hidden track) are pretty bad, and "My Telly's Gone Bung" (from the original recording sessions) is also bad.
I'll say the Beatles' "The Word." Choppy, tinny, silly, filler all the way.
They have lots worse, like "Mr. Moonlight," "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" or "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)."
