A friend has a deal with the local city-owned concert hall in which, if a show is not selling, they offer him as many free tickets as they have for friends. This show did not sell at all. They were even giving away her CD. We took a flyer and liked it a lot.

What really sent me was the band, and I ended up watching them a lot more than her. They were Interested, and the interplay between the musicians was fun to watch. They all have long resumes as sidemen with people you have heard of.

She's playing the Allen Room at Lincoln Center in April, and I would recommend it if you like good musician ship, and high quality singing which seems more fitting for a smoky, intimate cocktail lounge.
