Yeah, every time David Archuleta comes on, the bf and I cue the choir of angels. He's like a very earnest, very cute, very talented teenage Jesus. The Second Coming of Michael Hutchence is going to have a hard time beating him.

I adore David Archuleta. So talented, cute as a puppy. If he doesn't win, there's no justice. I can't stand Danny Noriega, I thought his Emo Elvis performance last week was execreable (and it wasn't a 60s song either) and he has a smart mouth that needs to be slapped shut.

Until last week I hadn't seen the dreadlocked kid (Jason Castro) at all in the auditions and, although everyone raved about his performance of 'What a Day for a Daydream', I thought it wasn't that great. I think he got by on cute.

In the UK Idol is shown on Thursdays and Fridays (and then when it's down to the last 12, just Fridays), heavily edited to remove all the vote-vote-vote stuff (makes for a much more entertaining show, if only they'd edit out Seacrest, Jackson and Abdul too ...).

This is not a spoiler -- I am in love with Jason Castro. The 23-year age difference will not matter in the slightest.

I find I do not like the show (never watched it before now), because of the tedious judges arguing and the audience screaming or booing or whatever. So I imagine I will tune in each week just long enough to send messages of eternal love to my beautiful Jasony-poo.

As is my custom, I won't watch Idol until they cut it down to 10 or so- too many people to keep track of otherwise!

I am in love with little David. Everyone in my household makes fun of me but he is just so cute. I feel like a proud mother. (I don't love him in a he's so hot way cause that would be too creepy. Even at 17 that boy looks 11).

Although, wondering when the "awww, shucks" attitude is going to get old (like Melinda Doolittle last year).

Hating pretty much everyone else except Chikezie, Michael Hutchence and dreadlock boy.

That Moon River guy - HATE! HATE! HATE! Bad hair rocker boy might be tolerable if I could stop staring at his bad hairline.

I do think it is a boys year though.

And that other dude (I think he is also David) wasn't so bad last night (Papa was a rolling stone) but seriously don't these people now how terrible this camera emoting comes off? The people that make eyes to the camera instantly turn me off.

I'm not feeling the David A. love. And why is the tepid rocker boy wearing a blonde wig?

David A. sings okay but that little laugh of his and his obvious nervousness and twitchiness as he is being interviewed irritate me greatly. GREATLY.

Late catch-up on this, as I've just finished watching the boys.

David A - fabulous. Absolutely awesome. He will win.

Jason Castro - sorry JanetLand, he looks like the love child of John Travolta and Bob Marley. And his voice is mediocre.

The Aussie guy - forgot his name. Does nothing for me. Boring, weak voice.

Blonde 'rocker' I forgot his name and song I was so busy looking at his bad, bad hair.

Danny Noriega - Oh puhleese.

Luke - Booorrrriiiinnnng. He's gone.

David H - Papa Was A Rolling Stone - excellent.

Jason Y - Long Train Running. I will join the line of MeChazans who want to slap his smug chubby chops. Awful. He's gone.

Chikieze - Great song, lots of fun.

Surprise of the night - the third David who sang All Right Now - I thought he was great and, alone amongst the other contestants, he's actually pretty sexy.
