Can anyone else access their hotmail or is it just me that can't????? AAAGRRRRRR! (feel free to make this a shouting thread if you like.)
Works fine for me - I'm in there right now.

It's not just you. I'm a bit surprised that anyone uses hotmail anymore, though.

Just 280 million people. It's down for me too.

...well, knock me down and call me George-it works now! After being unable to access ALL DAY.

Bunnies, bunnies, it must be bunnies!

I, too, am surprised that people still use hotmail for their main e-mail needs. I have an AOL address, but it's mainly for spam.

I'm curious, why would you stop using it? The interface is user-friendly, and there's no storage capacity issue. Why quit it if it ain't broke? Just because a new and shiny thing (gmail) comes along?

The value for me in using hotmail as my primary is that I've had it for a very long time and continuity makes my life, and the lives of those who wish to communicate with me, easier.

I suppose that makes sense, to use what you're comfortable with, if it fills your needs.

I think the main problem with Hotmail is their spam filter. It simply doesn't work.

My hotmail addy is 12 years old. I keep it for those people in my life who still haven't figured out what the right button on their mouse does.

I never get spam in my hotmail inbox. All I had to do was set up a few simple text filters, and voila! Hardly a single spam message in the last five years. What does come in goes directly to the junk box. I have yahoo and gmail accounts, but I just prefer to keep the same address I've been at. I hope I'll be able to keep using this address for another 20 years.

Well, I have three or four email addys for various and sundry purposes. Three of them are gmail-I like gmail but for some things I happen to like hotmail. I like having options.

I can't. I forgot my password years ago.
