This is perhaps the saddest blog I have ever read, and the photos are heartbreaking. We fought an eminent domain battle in my hometown, when the city wanted to tear down an entire neighborhood to build a big box store. For the time being, the neighborhood still stands; the store abandoned the idea when it became clear that there was so much resistance from area residents. But the neighborhood is still zoned as "blighted," and is therefore at risk -- the city doesn't want to revive it, just to do away with it.

I can't understand things like this.
