Wrapping and unwrapping. i'm torn. On one hand, wasteful excess, on another, innovative, thoughtful designs and pretty! i do loves me a reusable container though.
I think the Japanese \culture has produced the world's best wrappings.

In 2006, the Japanese Ministry of the Environment promoted the use of the furoshiki (a traditional wrapping cloth) to reduce waste from bags and other packaging. Here's the story from the Ministry's website and their guide to different wrapping styles.

I'm a sucker for great packaging and I'd love to visit Japan. I'd probably come home with bags full of interestingly packaged stuff with no idea what's in it because I bought it just for looks.
