This is my favourite movie intro of all time.

The music is perfectly suited to the images. I saw the movie when it first came out and the intro blew me away, and still does each time I see it.

Trainspotting.

Millers' Crossing. "I'm talkin' about ethics." I love Jon Polito. And Godfather homages.

Pulp Fiction. [NSFW]. I pretty much knew I'd love the movie as soon as Dick Dale's guitar ("Misirlou") started.

Silverado. Scott Glenn = total badass.

Snatch.

Catch Me If You Can.

Touch of Evil.

Goodfellas, which also has a "Then He Kissed Me" scene.

I think I'm a sucker for the 8-minute tracking shot that opens The Player. It's not online that I can find, though.

For Coen Bros, I like Fargo a lot. The opening to Miller's Crossing (not online) is also pretty good. "There's nothing more foolish than a man chasing his own hat." clips

Heavenly Creatures (my favorite Peter Jackson film)

Moving into Wes Anderson territory we have The Royal Tenenbaums.
