Photo Friday: Something that amuses you. Suggested by little ol' me.
We're out whale watching, a long way from shore and these land birds were flying around the boat. So this wee one gets tired and sits on the railing for a bit but keeps slipping off. He then hops onto my hand and gives us this "what? It's less slippery here." look. I still smile thinking of it.
This saggy baggy seat cracked me up because this was in the window of Victoria's Secret. Not exactly the hot and sexy look they're usually known for.
Doubly amusing is the fact that someone contacted me to see if I'd allow them to include this photo in some lame book she was publishing in which all the photos were pink. One of those vanity pubs, I'm sure. No compensation for getting your photo in the book, and if you want a copy of the book you have to pay for it. So she gets all the money, and other people provide the content. For free. Seems about as legit and worthwhile as the tome "Who's Who in American High Schools".
Somebody took this picture with my camera at a party last Saturday night and it cracks me right the hell up. We look like we're witnessing the return of the Elder Gods or something when it was actually a fun party and nothing bizarre or creepy even happened. The dog did get a bowl of Chex Mix, but, you know, no lives were lost. Anyway, I find the expressions of horror on both of our faces extremely amusing. ≡ Click to see image ≡
Funny, I keep coming up with Halloween pictures--My wife, dressed as Bride of Frankenstein, eating ice cream? 2 pictures, taken 8 years apart, of my daughter dressed as a fairy princess? My awesome homemade Strongbad mask? So much amuses me that it's hard to choose. OK, here's what I'm laughing about today...
This one of me taken in NY last month makes me laugh. I'd arranged to meet The Pink Superhero for lunch outside the restaurant and she couldn't see me because the burger was bigger than me. That's my hat that you can just see behind the burger. The real burgers inside are smaller than that, but not much.
I LOVE That teeny kitchen. At first I thought it was a real human sized kitchen but I could see it's proportions were a tad off, thinking "gee that looks kind of small, wonder if it's in a small apartment". Oh yes..
Drawings by my nephew, who has always got good stories to tell to me (he's six now). This one is for Shark Attack 2, which is a movie he was writing with my boyfriend (they decided it would be much more interesting to write the sequel first):
