Note to people staying in fancy downtown hotels: If your room is directly across the street from a large office building, it really doesn't matter how high up your room is, people can still see you if you're standing naked at your window. Especially during standard business hours.
This post is useless without pics.

(Well, maybe not...)

Ha. I'd call the hotel and let them know.

Really, you don't want pics.

Maybe he or she wants to be seen?

It's actually a "they," and given that they were sitting at the window smoking, I'm guessing they weren't in a state to be thinking much of anything at all. :-)

They've gone away now. I just seems weird to me that you'd be naked at a window with people at window-level about 50 feet away.

Well, of course people can see you standing naked at the window. Why else would you stay in a fancy downtown hotel?

ha! i have this realization every morning when I notice how clearly I can see the joggers on the Lakefront path.

I'd wave and see what happens.

I never really care if anyone sees me. No one is forced to look.

Someone needs to review How Not to Be Seen.

I generally feel that way, and I'm kind of blase about it when I'm high up above people, because it's not normal for people to stare up into high windows constantly, but... it's hard not to look from this office building, because my office and most of the other offices (at least on this floor) are set up so that the people using them stare out the windows pretty regularly. My computer is set up right against the window, I tend to look to that side when I'm thinking, etc.

Damnit, I never see the good stuff. :(

I had no idea your office would be across the street.

This is really embarassing.

My office building is right behind a middle school.

The middle school has a concrete wall that separates our lot from their back "forest" - essentially a fitness trail for the kids. It's pretty dense from the ground - I'm sure from the fitness trail you can't see the school, and vice versa. However, we are on the third floor. Behind them.

it's not at all unusual to see kids - oblivious to the idea that we can see DOWN over the wall - hitting the woods in the spring/fall and... well, you know. So we routinely bang coffee mugs, staplers, etc on the windows (they don't open) to get the kids to knock that off.

But the looks on their faces when they realize they've been on display...

They might just be scuzzy and inconsiderate like me- if I'm in a far away city and there's pretty much no chance I'll get busted then -eh... y'all can suffer. I'm not blocking my daylight just so other people don't have to see my pasty self.
