...Or maybe it's because Perle got me the dreaded "winter sick" stomach flu for Valentine's. She's been ill all night and still at it, poor thing, and while I'm cleaning her up from top to bottom I can feel that telltale dizzyness knowing full well that I'm next.

It's allegedly Singles Awareness Day today. I wonder if that's supposed to encompass us single-agains too?

This flu thing...it'll blow through ya in a couple of days. I was fine Monday, it hit me Mon nite, by Wed PM I was marginally functional again -- made it to church -- and by last night I felt like whatever's supposed to pass for 'normal'.

Yeah, I just feel sorry for her being so ill and apologizing for being sick on her clothes and the towels, and the couch the towels were meant to protect, and the bed, poor little projectile vomiter. Every time I get her a new warm shirt she promises "I won't be sick on this shirt". Aaaww but honey, sweetie, it's ok, we can wash everything! Poor little critter.
She'll probably love it once the illness blows over and she has three day quarantine from preschool though. She can go back Tuesday at the earliest (if she's better today).
