Cranky person takes petty gripe to governmental body and inanity ensues: Incarnation #3,472,789. Or is it #3,472,790?[More:]The inanity in question: the decorative signs and memorabilia - from Ireland and Irish breweries - in an Irish pub contain too much English.

Apparently some of them may be exempt if they're of "historical value".

The owner of the pub is pissed (pardon the pun) and has set up an online petition. As far as petition sites go, it's pretty nice design-wise.
