Our bid is pending...wish us luck →[More:]This is the 4th house we've bid on, and it's the best one. High ceilings, 3 floors (one is a basement ready for rental), good sized backyard and a little front yard. We want it bad. We put in our highest offer. It'd be a dream and the best Valentine's Day ever if we got it. Wish us luck or send me something to take my mind off the stress. We'll know in a couple of hours. Please, please, please, please...

Well, after hearing back that our bid was too low, we upped it over $70,000. And yet yesterday we learned we didn't get it. We're left wondering what one has to do in this damn city to get a house.
