Ugh, instant soup [More:]

Due to a combo of meetings and crappy planning, I get to dine on lovely Campbell's Cup-A-Soup from the coffee service today, plus whatever I can scrounge from trick-or-treating in the cubicle farm. *hopes Dave re-stocked his Peppermint Patty stash*

What's for lunch today?

Oh, and do feel free to gloat, as my intensely jealous drooling should both entertain you lot, and also remind me to use my head next time.
2 protein bars, soy pudding, and a bag of grapes.

I'm not sure if that's better or worse than instant soup.

I'm having a late breakfast for lunch due to lack of sleep last night, and sleeping in this morning (got up at 9:45). Oh, and it's my day off today. So, I'm having blackberries on strained yogurt, then whole grain toast smeared with home-made hummus, topped with a scrambled egg, salsa and avocado. It's yummmmay. In fact, I'm going to go cook it now.

um. One of those embarrassing and indulgent lunches that I hardly ever do, but today just seemed like a good idea. Grilled cheese on wheat, slice of chocolate cake, grapes.

3 slices of leftover Pizza Hut pizza.

It's not quite lunchtime yet, but I'm planning on turkey and bacon, with pesto, on olive bread. And possibly some tomato soup, if I'm still hungry.

I'm usually stuck with Campbell's "Soup at Hand."
Campbell's Soup at Hand: Clam chowder you can drink!
But I'm in college. You don't have that excuse.

My sister bought me a baked potato with sour cream and chives and a chili from Wendy's. I ate the chili with a fork. That was really stupid because I have chili on my pants.

Roast Beef sandwich with cheddar lettuce and tomato with no bread and no condiments, and a small bag of salt & vinegar chips.

I'll have what eekacat is having.

My fabulous friend at the coffee shop talked me into a smoked sausage stuffed croissant this morning. I had half for breakfast and half for lunch. It was delicious but not exactly on the diet, sigh. Then I ate the frozen Amy's samosa stuffed wrap I brought, which was diet and gruesome. Also, a grapefruit, which was grapefruity.

Dear lonefrontranger,

Please will you come live with me and say hilariously apt things like that all the time? Thanking you in advance,

Cordially,

Elsa

Lunch? Crikey, it's two p.m., and I haven't even gotten around to breakfast. It's a SNOW DAY, so I'm padding around with a vague look and no schedule.

Hmmm. Lunch. I made hummus and baba ghanoush last night, so I think I'll have that on garlic rolls with some nice veggies.

Either an egg salad sandwich or leftover stuffed cabbage.

I just had a huevos rancheros breakfast burrito at a little Mexican take-out (passed on the lengua and cabeza) and so will skip lunch I think.

The eggs in it were nice and runny.

I had a noodle/chicken/broccoli/edamame dish from Wok to Walk, and boy was it greasy :-\

I had a tiny bowl of granola and milk at 11.45, so methinks lunch won't happen until 3 or so.

It'll probably be a tomato and an avocado. Mmmfarmer's market.

I haven't eaten yet. :(

UPDATE: I located 2 kinda-old-but-still-okay clementines and an only-slightly-mangled-banana that were left for the scroungers in the service area. *scrounge*

My colleague had indeed re-stocked his Peppermint Patty stash! *snarf* Oh, and I forgot, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow, so trick-or-treating the cubicle farm turned up a mind-boggling array of chocolatey excellence, plus roughly 873 million of those little candy sugar hearts.

Urgh. *waits for sugar-induced-migraine to subside*

Elsa: Sure, long's you've got plenty of snacks! Of course, there's the part where you'd also have to adopt twenty-six bicycles, the mister and his terrible cat, too (we come as a package deal).

CitrusFreak: Yeah, dude, I know, I know. I REALLY need to go grocery shopping. Oooh, snap I gotta idea, you wanna come do it for us? You could drop out of school, come live in our basement, snowboard and/or ride bikes all day, surf on MeFi and keep me up to date on the good flameout threads, do a little light yard work and run all our errands for us. of course there's that little detail that it'd be like, an unpaid internship, but y'know... BIKES! SNOWBOARDING! ... and on preview: GO EAT!!!

eek: Sounds awesome, you wanna upload some of that? I have a nice big empty USB drive right here that'd prolly hold it.

TPS: :[ Here I was so hoping you'd show up with some of the food awesomeness that only NYC can bring.

*snags a piece of BP's pizza on the way out*

Leftover baked ziti. Still. Why can't I learn to cook for only two people instead of 15?

If CF isn't into it, I'd like to throw my hat in the ring (I'd have enough spare time to pick up a part-time job at the library, right?)

Two mini pizza thingies. Now I feel all bloated and icky.

Also, for lunch/dinner today (most Wednesdays I work until 8, and take lunch at 3 or 4 or so), I'm eating something that the local pizza place calls 'Razorback Buns.' It's a hoagie roll with garlic, cheddar, bacon and jalapenos on top, and pretty much exactly the kind of wretched excess that I'm in the mood for today.

I rarely buy lunch- usually bring something I've made myself.

yea TPS, I'm a pretty dedicated brown-bagger myself, but I've been really naughty about shopping this week and the mister's new school schedule means he's not been home to cook as much as usual, either. So I was like, meh, I'll just go get something from the organic deli up the street...it's spendy but it's at least good for me -- but then several meetings put the kibosh on that plan.

I mean geez, I was hoping you'd provide with something like this (heh).
