Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy. →[More:]
The weather in Essex is still beautifully spring-like, so I was able to dry my laundry outside on the line. My bedlinen smells wonderful. I can't wait for bedtime!
I'm loving my voice-activated dictation software. I blitzed through my work today.
And I finally -
finally - got my car radio working again. When I had a new battery installed the other week, it wiped the radio code. No problem, I thought, I have the manual Ford gave me with the keycode.
The Ford keycode did not work. Ok. I don't recall ever changing it in the 10 years since I've had the car, but if I had it would only be one of four possible numbers. None of those worked either. Oh poo.
Before I bought my car, it was for the first six months of its life a Ford fleet car (there's a big Ford plant in Dagenham, and I bought it from their main dealership there). So I suspect what happened is that when it was put on the forecourt, they grabbed any old user's manual for that model of Ford off the shelf, not realising (or caring) that the Audio Guide would have the wrong keycode in it.
But the internet is a wonderful thing. Through eBay I bought two little u-shaped things to extract the radio, found the right serial number and was able to get the code off the net. Cost me £1.49, cheaper than the new radio I thought I might have to buy.
So now I have music again. Music! Instead of the voices in my head!
I've been to the supermarket and have lovely food for dinner, and for the next few days.
And 'Project Catwalk' (UK version of 'Runway') is on tonight! Yaaay!
What's good in your world, bunnies?
