Robyn Hitchcock on A&E Video! Imagine the day!

This is fantastic. Thank you.

And my favorite RH album is, oddly, Moss Elixir. A massive college nostalgia pick, even from someone who precociously grew up on his legendary '80s output with the Egyptians...

I guessed your favorite RH song. I recently heard a Soft Boys album, and was reminded of the first time I heard the album "I Often Dream of Trains". It rattled my 15 y.o. paradigm a bit. I love when you hear an album for the first time and you know it's going to stay with you for the rest of your life.

Ha! Cool.

I agree. I was older than that when I heard it (mid-20s, I think? It used to be hard to find) but it was an immediate favorite. If I could only have one Hitchcock album, that'd be the one. (If I could only have two, the other'd be Fegmania!)

I think my first RH CD was "Queen Elvis". I've always liked his songwriting, just haven't followed him much over the years. I've always like the song "The Veins of the Queen". I do like your fave, BP, but never got around to purchasing it...
