Please help a befuddled old person with FaceBook. →[More:]There's something I can't understand. I signed up to FaceBook under [My College]. I only link to a couple people at My College. Meanwhile, I link to bunches of other people not from My College network. When I look at my page, I see on the sidebar:

Friends from My College Network
Friends from Other Networks

...and only My College Network shows thumbnails. It looks like I have no 'friends'! Pout.

When I look at other people's profiles, sometimes I see that it just says 'Friends.'

How can I get all my 'Friends' to show without being divided into these network groups? Is there any way? Do I just de-join my networks, or wha'?

I'm befuddled.

I think the problem is that a college network is your primary network. I think if you made a geographical area your main network, and had the college as one of your other networks, your friends would show up in one box. That's how it is with my profile, anyway (NYC is my main network, and I have two other college networks).

This is a holdover from when you couldn't join fb without being a student. Now that anyone can join, there are generic "friends".
