Anger! I hate cell phone companies!→[More:]

My phone has broken for a SECOND time! I am not unreasonable with my phones! I called to tell them about the issues I'm having, and they said all they could do was send me the same phone again! A third time! When I whined about that, they offered me a different, more awful phone! I explained to the supervisor I'm in a hard place because I either get the same phone that's broken on me TWICE or an even shittier phone! Her response? "Yes, and that's a decision you're going to have to make." AKSJLDFHASKJF

Can you go into the cellphone store? I've heard that you might be able to get better results if you go into the ATT, Sprint, etc. store instead of call.

What youngergirl said. The people in the stores are usually a LOT easier to deal with than the ones on the phone.

Thanks BP youngergirl. When this phone broke the first time, I went to a store to exchange it, and they told me that all of that had to be done over the phone (and I ended up having to pay $15 shipping!). I'm just finishing up my BBB complaint...

Hate them hate them hate them. I've bitched at my cellphone company so much that I think my file has lots of flags on it. When I call them, I hear it go through a series of clicks, until finally I get a very polite sycophantic manager-type, calling me by name all oily-like. Hate them.

TPS, was it a tax question or a software question? I used to work at H&R Block, so I might be able to answer it. (contrary to popular belief the people there are not trained on software, they're trained with stacks of tax forms. You don't even get to touch the computer program until you're hired)

My phone broke last night. Thankfully my roommmate upgraded his in the fall and still had his old one, so I'm using that for now. (AT&T, so I just had to swap out the SIM cards). I'm going to get a Samsung A437 this weekend (it's just $20 online for the refurb if I get it as a "prepaid" phone...but again, once my sim card is in it I will just have a normal phone again).
