Time stops at Grand Central Station Those Improv Everywhere guys are at it again.
SOmetimes those guys are funny, sometimes not so much. I liked this one, though I didn't have the sound turned on.

I think my favorite part was all the people taking photos of them.

"Honey look what I took a [still] picture of at Grand Central!"

It's better with the sound on just for the guy in the cart.
"I think it's a protest, or an acting class."
i liked it lots.

I think the cart guy's voice was faked.

Even so, this is pretty darn cool. I agree with dersins - sometimes they miss the mark, and I just hated the thing they did to that band, the stunt that got on This American Life. But this had a beauty to it.

Very nice. Nicely produced.

I miss New York!

But Grand Central Terminal. Not Station ....

I think the cart guy's voice was faked.

I think they could easily have been recording the frequency. Still, he did sound a little too Boston or something.

Anyway, there are times to absolutely NOT do this, but there's hardly a GOOD time. Obviously they wanted an audience, not a crush.

If you pass through past midnight, sometimes it's actually quiet enough that you can hear your individual footsteps echo, and not just the omnipresent rumble of everyone else's.

Also, the concourse looks so much better since they took down the illuminated Kodak billboard that took up one whole balcony end (the one opposite the oyster bar). Ah, yes -- the Colorama.

What's weird for me is that people still fall for this stuff - I would just see in and go. I wish IE would do something different - they have so many events like this - Freeze Time in A Dept. Store, blah blah blah.

I like em and all, I just want something different - although their Best Buy store impersonators event was absolutely brilliant.

How fun and silly! I'd love to stumble on something like that.
