Are other people having problems with gmail, or did someone hack my account? My password's not working, and I know that it's correct.→[More:] Of course, I came home to find my cat sitting on my keyboard because I forgot to close my laptop before leaving the house, so she might have screwed something up, but I'm fairly sure I closed the browser windows before leaving.

Sigh. Pain in the ass, whatever it is.

Mine sends email and is always changing file names on the old computer, so i don't think you're safe.
People are all, "What the hell does vsdD[[[[[[[[ mean? Is this because of what i said before?"
She won't use her own damn account, either.

Gmail's fine for both if us, though.

Make sure your caps lock isn't on. This happens to me sometimes.

Caps Lock is off.

The cat did seem to download AOL mail (I have no idea how; I assume she's an uneducated internet user and clicks on pop-ups that I didn't see before leaving). Maybe that screwed up the email? I'm not sure why it would, but maybe I'll go poke around there instead of sitting here feeling grumpy.

GMail has been extremely wonky lately, and yet, something might be up. Do you have a 2nd GMail account you can email them with?

Their support is truly terrible, as I discovered when I accidentally deleted my original account. But you might be able to get something done.

I filled out their "I think my account is compromised" form. We'll see what happens. I figure nothing much is going to happen on a Sunday, anyway, so I may try to be more aggressive about getting help tomorrow.

Ah ha! I apparently had associated the gmail account with one of my hotmail accounts, and was able to reset the password that way.

Woot!

Doesn't look like anything was deleted, or sent. Very weird.

Yeah, it's weird to come home and find that your cat has installed an email program and renamed all your files. I'm getting suspicious that she's programming some sort of virus and sending it out to the world.
