Oliver Stone to direct George W. Bush bio-pic; Josh Brolin set to play the title role. This could be interesting...[More:]
In the past, Stone's been notorious in his penchant for stunt casting. I'm curious as to whom he'll pick to play some of the supporting roles in this thing.

For Condoleeza Rice ... Angela Bassett?

For Karl Rove ... Philip Seymour Hoffman?

For Dick Cheney ... Ed Harris?

(I dunno -- I'm not very good at this.)
What, Lucifer's not available for Cheney?

Ugh. He doesn't deserve a biography.

Josh Brolin will have to practice his supercilious expression. Bush always looks like he's saying "I made a poopie!"

For Condoleeza Rice, Nia Long.

After seeing Josh Brolin in No Country For Old Men this weekend, I'm convinced he can do anything - even George Bush!

If by "interesting" you mean ill-advised. Ah well, it might be fascinating in a burning Hindenburg kind of way. Does Bush need a biopic already? I think we give the man too much attention, if we ignore him, he will just go away, say early next year, at the latest.

For casting you are thinking conventionally, the way Oliver has been going lately, I would expect things a little more on the Twilight Zone side of things. Eddie Murphy as Condoleeza Rice is more likely.

Maybe a porn biography would be better, sort of like the one Mary Cary made to document her own election bid in the California recall, with Ron Jeremy as Cruz Bustamante.

When I was thinking of who could play Dick Cheney, this character actor popped into my head, I didn't even know his name and couldn't put my finger on what he was even in, so I did a bit of Googling and found him - J T Walsh, the best bad guy ever. I thought of him because I recently watched "A Few Good Men" again and he played Colonel Markinson.

What I didn't know is that he died almost 10 years ago, so sadly we will never see him play Dick Cheney.

I wouldn't even pay somebody else's money to see it, that's for sure. I couldn't care less about the man.

I nominate Cheney Look-Alike Cat for the role of animal familiar for The Debbil Himself.

There's probably a lot of stories to tell about Bush family conspiracies, but i wish Oliver Stone would just stop trying to make movies.

Would someone please wake me up when Stone starts making real movies again?

Wow, Josh Brolin was in The Goonies.

Can I just say that I die a little inside when I think of a stone cold hottie playing that war criminal currently occupying the Oval Office?

Also, I'm not sure Brolin is capable of smirking down on humanity the way Dear Leader does. At least, I hope he can't.

Same plot as JFK?

Mr. Brolin's dad played a George Bush caricature on The West Wing.
