Can you maybe phrase the question more specifically? Are you getting an error message that people can help with?

I've been too busy lately to be on IRC much, so I don't know what the current issues are. But it seems that asking for Chatzilla prefs isn't going to fix your problem. There's probably a more expedient way to get you in, if you can provide specifics on the problem.

What I see when I try to connect:

It then continues to try to reconnect, doubling the wait time with each passing attempt. This happens on all of the servers I try to log on to.

I suppose my question is this: Is there anything I should try tweaking on my end?

I should just buy a Jitterbug and give up once and for all on ever understanding technology.

That's better than what I get, item: I keep getting told my ID has been "banned" from the channel. Then I go off and cry.

item, can you try something other than Chatzilla... another client? XChat, or mIRC? And see if it works?

janetland: i unbanned a lot of things so, give it a try.

item: you need to change from irc.slashnet.org to moo.slashnet.org or something like that. or else use something besides chatzilla if you can't get chatzilla to accept settings correctly.

And of course reconnecting doesn't help. This has gone on for several days now.

JanetLand, your problem is easy to fix. Solution here.

Item, like styxno suggested, you need to connect to a different slashnet server. They're still having problems on their end. Some of the other servers are moo.slashnet.org, vortex.slashnet.org, radon.vortex.org, pinky.slashnet.org.

I can't remember the others, but maybe someone else does?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled your client? If you're using Windows, download mIRC.

Huh. It looks like using mIRC instead of Chatzilla did the trick.
