We ended up ordering ribs for dinner. They were so tasty! We watched the Giants beat Green Bay* and are now watching the BF play video games.
*During the game in Green Bay it was -4° with a wind chill of -24°. So I was happy with my 10°

Oh, and the reason for the visit is to deliver Christmas presents and visit while getting things in order for her house closing in Arizona. She lives in Oklahoma now and also has stuff in Illinois in storage. So there's quite a bit of coordination needed, and I'm helping.

Speaking of parents, road trips, and Oklahoma: my parents are zigzagging roughly westward across the landmass. They were in Oklahoma last night, but I have no idea where the hell they are right now, or how long it's going to take for them to get here. Every so often I'll get a text message with an update. Once they get here, which might not be for another week or so, they'll stay with me for a few days, then move into a sublet in SF for six months while my dad undertakes a sabbatical and works on a book. It'll be a lot of fun having them around.

If being "older" has something to do with being crotchety and predictable, Pie's clearly got a decade or two on both of them.
