Anyone know of any good, long (but not crippling) New York walks? I've been spending some of me weekends in NYC just walking around. I've done this and this, what else is good?
How strange. I was just thinking about this and was going to re-visit Forgotton NY for ideas. I think there is an old rail tracks bed that goes on for miles, in Brooklyn, listed there. Either way, like Hellbient says, just get lost. Pick a starting point and, say, take random turns every 1/2 hour.
ooh-ooh! I have something for you... but, you are the plep, and I might fall over if it turns out you didn't already know about this don't lie, plep!: The NYC Immigrant Heritage Trail has walking tours plotted on google maps with accompanying PDFs for information featuring trails such as the Eastern European Jewish Heritage Tour, the Latino Street Art Walking Tour, and the Little Ukraine Walking Tour, for example. Sounds wonderfully plepish to me. :)
