Yew Nork = Better than Disney World [More:]That is the highest praise a six year old can offer. She loved it so much she cried when it was time to leave and is already starting her list of things she wants to do next time we go. We managed to squeeze the Natural History Museum, The Empire State Building, a trip to the Build a Dino Workshop and The Lion King into about 24 hours. It was a whirlwind of excitement and we're all exhausted. We'll stay longer and see more next time. Thanks so much to everyone who sent advice and suggestions.

And Mr. Baby did just fine being left home with the cat. He found the bowl of Cheerios we left next to the cat food, but didn't seem to get the hang of the litter box. Oh well, that's why we have a carpet cleaner, right? I kid. For those who wondered, he spent the weekend getting fawned over by his grandparents.
So that's where my husband was! Glad you had a great time and the little girl took to it. New York, New York!

I spent all day saturday hoping you'd come into the store, but unless mr. rossi has agressively permed hair and a fur jacket and you are a woman over 50 who told me 'you're so strong,' I guess you didn't show.

That was definitely not us, jonmc. Although the thought of what my man would look like "aggressively permed" and dressed like a pimp is making me giggle.

And what is with all the fur coats? I saw a ton of them. I thought fur was ovah a long time ago. (Although I did notice a whole hell of a lot of them a couple of weeks ago down in Philly, too, so it's not just an NYC thing, I guess.)

Fur is big this season- there's something very glam about it. I bought myself bought a fur coat (fake, obviously)!

Hawt, TPS! Yeah, it must be really big this season. It was everywhere. Guess all the money the fur industry paid Sharon Stone to walk around looking like a taxidermist at a Furry convention totally paid off. (Seriously, have there been any photos taken of her in the past few months where she's not draped in some type of pelt?)

This made me tear up a little bit.

I'm so happy that your daughter (and you and your husband) loved our city so much.
