* No drinking
* Two(and a half?) hours of being outside
* Went to the gym twice; no yoga
The "get outside more" goal was a bit complicated due to the storm, which also destroyed motivation for going to the gym. Probably should have realized I was setting that one up during rainy season.
My "work out more with heavier weights" has gotten a bit derailed by my nasty cold, but I think by Tuesday I'll be back on the program. And I did order a new workout tape, so that's something.
2. Only 2 runs. I am realizing that having my mother here, and not wanting to ignore her, is going to interfere with my running program (at least my longer weekend runs). Didn't go for my 6-7 mile run today because we were in Philly. We did walk A LOT in the last two days though.
If I went vegetarian I would certainly loose a few pounds. If you really want to lose weight try veganism. I haven't yet met a fat vegan. Mostly they look emasciated.
I haven't started clean living to date. I do plan on starting it tomorrow (for real). I hope to be eating healthier and exercising four times a week to start. Once I start I know that I'll be able to keep it up; it's just being motivated to start is the issue.
My motivation sailed right up through the holidays and then, bizarrely, tanked on New Year's Day. I've worked out a few times this past week, but not with the usual spirit, and I can't believe how much I've been eating.
I've lost three to five pounds, my pants fit again. But I drank and smoked my way through the weekend. Back on track today! My activity is happening, but at a lower level because my diet is so extreme, I don't have much energy. Yes, I am exercising, but I always do anyway. I too am revising my mileage goal downward for the month.
I've worked out every weekday morning so far, and I didn't drink at all last week or this weekend due to a flu or cold.
On the diet front... well, I've already eaten some fast food, and some Buffalo wings, so basically my diet is exactly the same as last year, but on the other hand I've been eating very small dinners, so hopefully it'll balance out until my fiance returns and motivates me to start making lunches instead of eating out every day.
And yeah, the holidays lasting through last week did kind of make things difficult, didn't it? It always seems like January 1 is a new start, but then it comes around and it's still feels like the middle of the holiday season with all the indulgence that entails.
