Clean Living January: Updates and Whuffles.
Since January 1:

* No drinking
* Two(and a half?) hours of being outside
* Went to the gym twice; no yoga

The "get outside more" goal was a bit complicated due to the storm, which also destroyed motivation for going to the gym. Probably should have realized I was setting that one up during rainy season.

Goals for next week: Gym 3x, yoga 2x.

I washed my pint glass before pouring the first of the day this morning, that count?

My "work out more with heavier weights" has gotten a bit derailed by my nasty cold, but I think by Tuesday I'll be back on the program. And I did order a new workout tape, so that's something.

I've gone to the gym four times since 1/1. Also, I'm creeping back towards vegetarianism. Now if only I could lose a few pounds.

Yay, gym! Yay, workout tape! Yay, clean pint glass! :-)

Can we follow up Clean Living January with Filthy February? I'll be happy to mentor everyone.

(also, guess what pips is frying up for me as I type this? Rabbit Sausage.)

How are we supposed to guess if you give away the answer straight away? Sheesh.

1. No alcohol. Yay me!

2. Only 2 runs. I am realizing that having my mother here, and not wanting to ignore her, is going to interfere with my running program (at least my longer weekend runs). Didn't go for my 6-7 mile run today because we were in Philly. We did walk A LOT in the last two days though.

If I went vegetarian I would certainly loose a few pounds. If you really want to lose weight try veganism. I haven't yet met a fat vegan. Mostly they look emasciated.

I gained weight as a veggie, unfortunately. I seem to be the type that needs dense, low-calorie protein.

I haven't started most of my clean living goals yet. I did start cleaning the house.

shame. makes them less flavorful.

When I first became a vegetarian (I was one for 6 years, previously), I gained weight because I ate a ton of cheese and other dairy.

I know a vegan chef who refers to himself as "The Chubby Vegan." And he is.

I haven't started clean living to date. I do plan on starting it tomorrow (for real). I hope to be eating healthier and exercising four times a week to start. Once I start I know that I'll be able to keep it up; it's just being motivated to start is the issue.

My motivation sailed right up through the holidays and then, bizarrely, tanked on New Year's Day. I've worked out a few times this past week, but not with the usual spirit, and I can't believe how much I've been eating.

Not sure what's up with that.

No alcohol since December 28. Gym two times. Pretty good diet. My goal is clean living for January -- February I'll party again.

Since you did it before breakfast, yes.

I've lost three to five pounds, my pants fit again. But I drank and smoked my way through the weekend. Back on track today! My activity is happening, but at a lower level because my diet is so extreme, I don't have much energy. Yes, I am exercising, but I always do anyway. I too am revising my mileage goal downward for the month.

Go everybody Go!

I've worked out every weekday morning so far, and I didn't drink at all last week or this weekend due to a flu or cold.

On the diet front... well, I've already eaten some fast food, and some Buffalo wings, so basically my diet is exactly the same as last year, but on the other hand I've been eating very small dinners, so hopefully it'll balance out until my fiance returns and motivates me to start making lunches instead of eating out every day.

Yay, everyone!

And yeah, the holidays lasting through last week did kind of make things difficult, didn't it? It always seems like January 1 is a new start, but then it comes around and it's still feels like the middle of the holiday season with all the indulgence that entails.

I didnt really do anything proactive about clean-living this new year which is why the sleeping, sausage-bacon-egg diet is working well.
