wedding ring update: SUCCESS! →[More:]The ring came out great. We went to a movie (after leaving our 3-month-old son with his grandmother), then to dinner at a fancy place downtown. I was planning on waiting for dessert but couldn't stand the anticipation, so I gave her the ring while we where waiting for our appetizers.

She was thrilled, didn't see it coming at all.
Movie+Dinner+Ring, all in all a great night out on the town.

That ring is beautiful! I've never seen anything like it. It's super cool looking, although I think I'd always be scared that it would come home diamond-less on day!

Wow! Just.. wow! I'm very traditional when it comes to jewlery but that ring is the coolest evah. I love the tension in the setting, and the big strong steel arms holding the dainty-looking (but obviously hard as a diamond) diamond. Poetic!

On a side note, taking photographs of diamond rings is haaard. There's something about the diamond itself which the camera won't focus on.
