You can't beat the Old Dominion. What a weird name for peanut brittle. i haven't had peanut brittle in ages. Yum. Want some?
There is also key lime silk cake, panettone-- this dessert train never seems to go anywhere but keeps coming. Tea?

Old Dominion is a state nickname for Virginia. Virginia has peanut pride.

Does it mean what it seem like it means?
How's the doggie?

We have chocolate mousse. Which was an adventure.
Didn't simply stick to one recipe. Combined 2.5 recipes just to make it interesting. Now, we have one bowl of notverysuccessfulchocolateglop and another of yummy chocolate mousse. I must to to mefi and search to see suggestions of what to do with the glop...other than to eat it straight out of course. I'll share!

You could make it a layer in another dessert, like a trifle or in a baking dish like this thing a roommate from Tennessee made: it was a graham cracker crust, then a sweetened cream cheese layer, then toffee brickle, then chocolate pudding, and finally whipped cream.
So you could improvise with whatever you have or make it a filling in something.

Mmmm, good idea - I could mix into the graham cracker crust - it's a bit grainy (over-heated the chocolate - it lost it's temper!) On second thought, Great idea ethylene!
I think your roommate made what's called "Something Good" around here - don't know what the real name for it is, but that's our title for it.

The colony of Virginia stayed loyal to the crown during the English Civil War, so was upgraded to the Colony and Dominion of Virginia.

The Constitution of Virginia (June 29, 1776) used the name Commonwealth of Virginia, thus making the Dominion "Old".

Thanks, dhartung, it just sounded so oppressive for candy, i thought it was funny.

I like Old Monmouth, but then I'm prejudiced. I'm from Old Monmouth.

PB is really easy to make at home, too, if you're not scared of boiling sugar. It sure is good fresh.

Old Dominion Brewing for those unfortunate enough to get stuck anywhere near Loudon county for a spell.

I cotton'd to "seafoam" candy at a confectioner's in Rehobeth which goes by "Crunchie" (Nestle) and "Violet Crumble" commercially.

Not a patch on the peanut-butter covered version Yia Yia's Goodies does in Buffalo, NY though.
