Forces conspire against me! Things just won't work out for me this week!→[More:]

My sewing machine gets all fowled up and I spend a day taking it apart, tweaking, and putting back together, setting me way behind on holiday gift sewing.
My bus is 10 min early yesterday, zooming past me as I'm just leaving the building. So I manage to get in touch with my roommate, who agrees to come get me. I'm still an hour late getting home, though.

Because of that I spend all night cooking for the office potluck today, and can't do my cards.

Get into work an hour early today, get my cards done...

and the stamp machine is out of order.

(in better news I some nice gifts from various bosses, vendors, accounts, and so forth)

Thanks for asking, it is SO much better. I think it'll all work out ok eventually, thank god. The scarring is minimal-to-none now that it's healed, so I can even get it touched up over the summer if I want. been off the antibiotics since the weekend, and I was still edgy at first since it was still red, but I'm seeing obvious improvement every day.

Good luck on that sewing!

I remember all too well the time I decided to sew almost every gift. Never again. I was up all night xmas eve sewing, and then had to wrap the things. It ruined the whole idea of making things as gifts for about 10 years.

I hate that. I HATE that. I am so paranoid about missing the bus that I show up at the stop twenty minutes early. Of course, then they're late.

Not much better so far. I mean, work today was good, I got xmas presents, but then I tried to buy stamps on the way home. The shady corner store was charging 10 cents extra each! I told him that was wrong, he said "no, that's our price" and I basically told him to go fuck himself since I'll let the post office decide how much the mail is, not him. I'm calling them tomorrow, since it seems like it can't be legal.

Now I'm wondering if I should get presents for my teammates. Who are all people I answer to in one way or another (I'm the lowest ranking on the team).
