I just ate too much cheese. But it was really good cheese.
There's no such thing as too much cheese. What kind was it? (me and pips had Triple Cream Coach a few weeks ago. that was great)

I did my "couch picnic dinner" -- really nice sourdough bread, pate (tonight it was chicken liver pate made with apples), cornichons, and two soft cheeses, St. Andre and Point Reyes blue.

The St. Andre was not quite soft enough. But it was still damned good. I think it's also a triple cream? It's more or less like butter, with a rind. YUM!

Too much cheese? Does not compute.

The thing is, I was having lactose problems. So I had stopped eating cheese. But I seem to have found drugs/probiotics that solve the problems. So it's been a long fucking time since I've had this much cheese.

OMG CHEESE.

I think kyleg and I are taking another weekend away next month, and I can't wait to consume much wine + cheese during it. Mmmm cheese.

POINT REYES BLUE!!!!

That's really all I've got. Continue.

Oh wait, on preview, cheese has waaaay less lactose than milk. There's some website somewhere that lists the lactose contents of cheeses. I cannot Google it right now. But you can!

Does it? I thought soft cheeses still had much lactose.

But I'm too lazy to google. Also, I was having problems with cheeses.

But! Acidophilus! Whoo!

Sicilian table cheese: sheep's milk (but with a cheddar consistency) containing PEPPERCORNS. srsly.

Here's one source.

Aged cheeses have less than soft cheeses. But aged cheeses are better, so it's okay!

Huh. Maybe my self-diagnosis-unconfirmed-by - trained-medical-opinion was off. :-)

But I still stand behind "Acidophilus! Whoo!"

Does cheese have acidophilus? I thought that was just in yogurt? OMG, question marks? I'm talking like a California undergrad??

I don't think so. I've been taking the tablets. They're supposed to be good for breaking down lactose. Hence the cheese-eating.

(Weirdly, I also went to a French mass this evening. I must be in French mood.)

Wait, are we stuck in a car together afterward, or not?

I luuurve me some cheese. Saga has recently hit the yummy spot in the soft cheese department for me. I'm not a big blue fan, so the mixture of brie & blue is juuuust right. mmmmmmmm
