Can someone explain the Photo Friday thing to me? Or point me to a page that explains it?

Every Friday, we have a photo theme and members post their pix. Whoever chooses the theme one week, also chooses the person to decide the theme for the following week, and so on. Last week's theme, for example, was "Loud". Suggestions for theme ideas are added to the Photo Friday Wiki page, and that's where you can find links to past Photo Fridays as well.

Shane started the idea of Photo Friday at Metachat, and youngergirl44 organized everything on the wiki for us, including digging up all the past links for photo fridays... not as easy as it might seem!

Where do you post the pictures from it?

Whoever is picking the theme for the week starts the thread with a post on Friday, unless they forget, then someone else posts it for them. You can still post in old threads, as long as they're open. For example, if you have something for "Loud" you can post a photo right now. Most of the photos are posted on the Friday, but some of us *cough, me* usually manage to be late.

So, this coming Friday, chuckdarwin will make a "Photo Friday: Transportation" post, and people will post their shots, but the thread will stay open for however long threads stay open (I forget. A month?). The theme is usually announced early in the week so that people can prepare something.
