The streets are clear, but I can't get out of my driveway. →[More:]It is very frustrating to get up at 5:30 a.m. to shovel the end of my driveway only to discover that, while I was showering and dressing and such, the plows came by several more times and the entrance to my driveway is blocked aGAIN, and this time the snow is so dense and packed that I can't shovel it, so I've had to phone for rescue.

I'm getting really really discouraged by all this snow. It seems like it's done nothing but snow ever since Thanksgiving. I don't think I can deal with much more shoveling.

I was wondering when the first one of these would show up! I'm sure it does get old, & that really does suck. Sounds like some folks are getting seriously walloped by white stuff lately.

Who does the rescuing? The plow people? Or someone you work with who was able to get out?

"rescue" is my boyfriend, who doesn't live on a through street and therefore only has to shovel himself out once per storm.

Oh I hate that! That happens to us all the time, too. That and the guy across the street who plows himself out and pushes all the snow onto our property along with huge amounts of his gravel driveway. Nothing like hitting a random patch of unexpected gravel when you're mowing the lawn.
