I just heard Oprah use the term "vajayjay." That is all.
I just remembered someone used it at my office party last week. If you knew my office, you would not approve.

So much for that word.

You were watching Oprah?

If you don't get cable and the only other local stations were airing Springer or Judge Judy or Seinfeld reruns, I understand, but otherwise, go directly to HGTV, Food Network, Hallmark Channel or CNBC for vajayjay-free programming.

Not necessarily. True story: I went out to dinner with a girlfriend and her mom. We were at a Thai restaurant, and I ordered cabbage soup. It had a sour, tangy, yet not unpleasant flavor. GF's mom asked how my soup was, and I could barely prevent myself from saying "it tastes like your daughter."

This is how you pronounce it in the original Wendish:

I thought that Oprah's use of the word is what pushed it into popular culture. It's even got it's own website (which is really just the same clip drzdn linked to).

Can I just say that I am desperate for some sort of Barack-Oprah-Vajayjay trifecta to surface?

no offence to anyone here but holy cow I'm so glad it's jumped the shark. but then I have issues with these sorts of cutesy-smug euphemisms for body parts. Can't really articulate why, but they just seem... creepy, somehow.

It originated on the dreaded Grey's Anatomy, right? That's what urban dictionary says, I think.

You know, I'm sure I heard it on Scrubs, ages ago.

Here's where I first encountered it, back in 2000. (fourth verse from the end)

Both va and ga mean go
so it's all a go go.

Thanks to ethylene, the name of the new strip club I'm opening next week is now Vajayjay-A-Go-Go. Eth, your first lap dance is on the house.

Wendell, we have no cable or satellite tv. That is why we can afford top of the line dsl.
