An old cat who has since passed once puked in the keyboard of my work laptop. I cleaned it out pretty well by popping off the keys, but it had a stench that never faded. It was finally replaced, thank goodness.

all i found in my keyboard were a few crumbs, a couple of sesame seeds, some dust, and a staple (!). which isn't so bad, really - i'm sure if you were to go to some of my coworker's desks and bang their keyboards against their desk a few times, there may be enough there to make a pack of lance crackers or, in some extreme cases, a hardee's sausage biscuit. just add water to reconstitute it and you're good to go.
