Can I spend a Target.com gift card received via e-mail at a Target store?→[More:] It doesn't say I can, which makes me think not, but if I could, I would really like to.
Oh, I think I found the answer to my question on the Target website. giftcards- use at Target.com or online. e-gift cards- use only at Target.com. Drat.
Someone once gave me an e-gift card to powells.com . Which was stupid, since I live in Portland. Where Powells is.
Anyway, the part of this that's actually relevant to you is this:
I used it to purchase a physical Powell's gift card. Which I arranged to pick up in the store rather than having shipped. And I used in the store. The day I picked it up. Which was the very day I ordered it.
I wonder if you couldn't do the same with a physical Target gift card.
Kyleg: How about people like me that can't be bothered with bullshit holidays like Christmas but are obligated to participate in gift exchanges?
Because I don't want to spend even one second on this crap than I have to, and an online gift card satisfies my need to get this out of the way as fast as possible and get on with things that actually matter.
I got a Gap gift card, but what I really wanted was at Old Navy, and they wouldn't let me use the Gap card. So I went to Gap, and used the Gap gift card to buy an Old Navy gift card.
It's a pain in the butt because I went to the Target store and tried on some things I liked, but they don't have the size I need on the website. Boo. guess I'll just hold onto it.
The problem is is that I'm in FL only for a little while, and once I go back to NYC, there's only one Target and it's always really picked-over, so I doubt they'd have my size in what I want.
