This was one of my favorite songs in high school chorus. We tenors had the coolest harmony part with the altos while the sopranos went oooooooh - aaaaaaaaaah and the basses (all two of 'em) had a part that sounded like some kind of psychedelic ooga-chucka.

One day, someone had the brilliant idea to try it without the piano accompaniment. That first run-through without the piano was one of the most dramatic things I ever participated in. After we finished, I swear no one breathed for a full minute. If only we had recorded it. Our performance at the Spring Concert (a capella of course) almost reached the same height, and we left 'em speechless.

We all got A's that quarter too.
