I've always liked those quick-change acts. I saw one of those "magician revealed" shows one time and I think it's a special outfit that folds in and around itself multiple ways. I'm sure there's a youtube spoiler out there somewhere.
they're (she is) pretty good. I wonder if there is a double in the box that helps with the illusion of quick transitions? in any case, that last illusion was spot on.
Yeah, the last one got me. Very well done. Just from an engineering standpoint, I'd like to know how it was done - this is one instance in which that would enhance, not spoil, my admiration of the trick!
It's all in the construction of the dress, as each "outfit" is merely another layer which peels down like layers of an onion, each fixed at the waist. The skirts get progressively longer and more billowy to hide the bulk of the older "dresses" as they hang down. In high school, as one of the punishments we were forced to undergo "change parades" where we were supposed to cycle through our different sets of uniforms (dress, drill, p.t., class, etc.) and given a couple of minutes to change between each one, with penalties assessed according to how much time we as a group ran over. Getting out of one pair of lace-up boots and getting into another was the biggest time sink by far. Let's see Ms. Quicky McChangydress do that.
