Neighbour update →[More:]
The one day this week I can sleep in, I was awakened early by noises outside. I look out, there's a policeman on my front lawn. He tells me to open the door. When I do, the two officers (one of whom is very short!) realise they want the other door and the upstairs flat. But they ask me if I am Anne-Marie Kerrigan and I say no.
They ask if I know her. No. They ask if there is anyone home upstairs and I say yes, Vic (the sleazo neighbour) and a young woman. I know she is there because they woke me up a couple of hours earlier
(she was faking it).
Eventually he answers the door. They ask him if Anne-Marie Kerrigan is there. He says no, he's there alone but because they know that's not true, they go in and speak to the young woman, who it appears is not the person they're looking for, so they leave.
Last Saturday police turned up because of a 999 hang-up call. On Monday night I called 999 because there was a fight going on upstairs that appeared to be escalating and I feared for the girl. (Usual scenario - he's wanting to throw his latest hooker out, she wants to get her stuff before she does.) But they both left before the police got here, so I called back and cancelled the call.
Surely one day something will stick on this guy.
