blender or food processor
sieve
ingredients:
1 28 oz can of whole tomatoes in juice
masala powder
salt
Dump contents of can into blender. Blend until smooth. Pour through sieve into a non-reactive pan. Heat until warm, add masala powder (between 1/8 tsp and 1/2 depending on how spicy you want it). Salt to taste - you won't need much.
