Send chicken soup and blankie. [More:]
I have Norwalk Virus. I had to come home from work this morning, as I was feeling very poorly and only just made it to the office bathroom before puking my guts up.

I had this virus at New Year two years ago, so I know it'll pass in a day or two, but for now I feel like crap.

It's pouring with rain, and luckily there was a lone taxi at the station, which I shared with a woman who was going in the same direction, otherwise I'd have had a mile walk, uphill, in the rain, carrying a heavy backpack with my stomach doing cartwheels.

As tomorrow is a 'work from home' day, I brought work home with me so I don't have to be back in the office until Monday.

Aww, bless. I'm giving you an air hug (germs!!).

i have both soup and a blankie, but it's easier to send this. My soup uploader has clogged the tubes.

It even has a pink bunny foot on a stick.
(Because i say it's a pink bunny foot.)

We should have a sick day basket with your choice of neti pot and herbs or heavy duty cold medicines, all come with blankies and a basket perfect for emergency puking.

Remember, lots of fluids and try to keep your blood flowing. It's slightly easier to bear that way. Or near unconsciousness with everything within arms reach.

Since it's a bit far to get there in person, perhaps we should set up a schedule to have virtual bunnykins check on you every couple of hours and report back.

*sends warm blankie essexjan's way*

Aww, man...*sends virtual saltine crackers to go with chicken soup*

I hate stomach bugs. Hope you feel better quick!

Oh, jan. Having been there myself very recently (last week in fact - what was initially diagnosed as pharyngitis turned out to be food posioning) I keenly sympathise. Rest up, and add salt and lemon juice to water if you're feeling really awful. Take care.

I'm sorry you're sick, jan. I hope you feel better soon.

Also, I apologise in advance if I drive everyone mad with comments/posts on here. There's only so much daytime TV I can watch, and I can't concentrate on my book.

I have Christmas cards to write but had best leave those until the virus has passed.

Sending space blanket and Gatorade for replenishing electrolytes. I recommend warming it in the microwave and sipping it slowly.

Stay warm and hydrated. Maybe the rain will wash away the pukes. Ugh. Feel better soon!

I was here last Friday, collecting a neighbour. So no surprise I am now ill. The neighbour, aged 84, is fine, luckily.

So sorry for your tummy and all, ej... do hope you feel better soon.

I got my flu shot yesterday, which I'm very glad to have gotten (I've had the flu and do not want it again), but my arm's very, very sore. : (
