I went to a Lebowski Fest in Austin back in 2006. It was fun. I didn't dress up, but it was funny to see some of the costumes. But only the obscure ones, the main character costumes were 'meh'. The Stranger would only be good if you could really grow that mustache. But the guy who dressed up as the "The Queen in her damned undies", the woman who dressed up as "The Cycle" and the trio who dressed as Walter's buddies who died "died face down in the muck" in 'Nam--awesome.

I didn't dress up but I went to one in Seattle.

There was a whole Human Paraquat Squad with uniforms and flyers and everything, and a woman dressed as "the bosom of the Pacific Ocean" (low-cut blue flowy print dress). There was an Asian girl with a yellow t-shirt with "Chinaman" printed on it.

We bowled and drank $3 White Russians from a pitcher. It was awesome.

I'm so glad Sam Elliot landed that role in The Golden Compass.

I wish they'd do something similar with O Brother Where Art Thou. I seriously have almost every bit of that movie MEMORIZED.
